How to clean a real fur pillow?

If it is real fur,  please wash the pillow by hand in cold water or in the machine on the gentle cycle using a mild detergent. Once it has been cleaned, fluff the furry fibers and hang or lay it out to dry. Do not put the pillow in the dryer. Even a small amount of heat could melt or permanently mat the fibers.
